Better Homes and Gardens Changing Table/8 Cube Organizer
We decided to convert this 8 cube organizer from Better Homes and Gardens into our Changing Table. We purchased caster wheels from Ikea to attach to the bottom. The wheels are awesome because they have breaks on them to secure the organizer in place. I really, really don’t like regular changing tables. For one, they’re too pricey for what they are. Two… the ones I saw in person were usually pretty dinky. The ones from Ikea scare me because I feel like the hinge will weaken and break or someday that baby is going to get her fingers stuck in the contraption somehow. Then there are the ones that are decently priced that when you actually put a baby on them, feel like they’re going to collapse.
I took matters into my own hands and made my own 🙂 We are super happy with the results. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the organization. I have all her diapers, wipes, and everything else I need for changing and bathing time in one bin. I have clothes organized in another bin, I have all medications in another. I have that I need for the hospital in another bin. It is great for us.
A changing pad cover can be attached to the top with the harness strap on the covers or with some simple Velcro strips.
We attached ours with Velcro and it all looks perfect:
